Set off by boat from Flåm on a fjord cruise to Gudvangen, as sheer mountainsides plunge to the water’s edge and waterfalls spill down the rock. Continue to Bergen by coach and train, then check in for a two-night stay.

Few places in Norway rival the beauty of Bergen, with its iconic colorful wooden houses lining the bustling harbor. One of the highlights is riding the funicular to the summit, where you can take in a sweeping panorama of the city, the harbor, and the surrounding mountains.

After a final breakfast ashore, transfer to the port and embark MS Nordlys. As evening approaches, your ship slips out of Bergen and turns north, beginning an 11-night voyage along Norway’s spectacular western seaboard.

Begin at Florø, Norway’s westernmost town, surrounded by a scattering of islands and steeped in fishing heritage. Sail on to Molde, nicknamed the Town of Roses, where a panorama of snowcapped peaks rises across the fjord.

Spread across several islands, Kristiansund grew prosperous on the trade in salted, dried cod. By the time you reach Rørvik, the ship has entered the wilder reaches of the Trøndelag coast, where countless islets and skerries line the route.

Leaving Brønnøysund, the ship crosses the Arctic Circle and continues north across the open Vestfjord toward the Lofoten Islands. Svolvær awaits, its harbor framed by jagged peaks rising straight from the sea.

Call at Båtsfjord, then Kirkenes, the turning point of your voyage, just a few miles from the Russian border. Heading south once more, the ship returns to Berlevåg as the Arctic landscape takes on a softer, more muted palette.

Ålesund, famed for its pastel Art Nouveau architecture, is your last call before the ship returns to Bergen. Disembark and transfer to your hotel for a one-night stay, with the evening free to enjoy a farewell dinner in the city.

Transfer to the airport for your short flight to Copenhagen, where two nights await. Your first evening is free to begin exploring the elegant Danish capital at your own pace.

Enjoy a final full day in Copenhagen. Admire the colorful townhouses lining Nyhavn, explore the pedestrian streets of the old town or settle into a cozy café for a taste of Danish hygge. If you fancy something else, you could visit the iconic Little Mermaid statue on the shore.
